This machine takes exact measurements for us to make your glasses. It measures the PD (pupillary distance), SH (segment height) for a progressive, the panto, base curve, vertex, and wrap. These measurements are all needed to make a digital lens that is personalized to your vision.

Hate the air puff? We now use a handheld tonometer instead of the old “air puff” machine to test for glaucoma. Our optician holds the tonometer in front of your eye and we are able to determine your pressure measurements from the probe quickly touching your eye. You won’t even notice it happening.

The Optos imaging machine allows us to take a 200° picture of your retina. This diagnostic tool helps the doctor see any eye issues, including diabetes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma without dilating the eye.

We’ve discovered that while treating around the eyes with TempSure Envi, the Radio Frequency technology gives relief to Dry Eye symptoms. The warm temperature and massaging of TempSure Envi loosens the buildup of oil in the Meibomian Glands which tends to give our eyes a dry, itchy feeling. When these glands secrete the oil, in which the surface of our eyes is coated, it keeps the water component of our tears from evaporating (drying out).

The TempSure Envi treatments have been carefully designed with comfort in mind. 99% of patients described the treatment as comfortable, relaxing, and pleasant. You’ll possibly even fall asleep! You may feel slight pressure when performing expression of the glands.

Patients should feel some relief immediately. It will take up to 3 treatments for optimal results, but after each treatment the symptoms should subside more and more. After the initial three sessions, the treatment will need to be repeated every 6 months, for the Meibomian Glands to stay healthy and produce oil.

Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy is a treatment for dry eye that uses brief pulses of light to treat underlying causes of the condition. The treatment is administered with a class 4 laser device that emits broad light through filters that block UV and blue light. The light is absorbed by oxyhemoglobin and converted to heat, which can destroy blood vessels and liquefy hardened oils that clog the meibomian glands in the eyelids. This process in turns opens blocked glands, reduces inflammation, stimulate healthy glands, alleviate dry eye symptoms!
