Caryn Lawson
Office Manager
Caryn is a true Oregonian. Born and raised in Hillsboro, she attended Pacific University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She spent five years teaching for the Hillsboro School District before starting a family.
She and Dr. Lawson have been married a long time and have five children. The oldest resides in Florida while the other four are still here in Oregon. Besides having a lot of kids, they also have three dogs and two cats, so their house is never quiet.
Caryn loves to travel, especially to Florida to see her daughter. Dr. Lawson recently purchased an RV, so now Caryn is supposed to love camping, but we will see how that goes. She loves music, reading, gardening, and learning about new things and places.

Marcello Cotten
Lab Manager
Marcello has been in the industry for nearly 20 years. Besides working with patients to troubleshoot any vision issues with glasses, Marcello works directly with our labs to ensure glasses are done in a timely manner and are 100% perfect before contacting the patient.
Marcello is a true artist. His work can be found around the world, but we are very proud to have part of his collection on display at Bethany Optical.

Natalia Parr
Lead Optician
Natalia, our lead optician is ready to aid you in choosing the perfect frame for your face. Always fashion forward Natalia, will make sure you only leave with a frame that flatters both your face and personality.
When not working, Natalia loves to spend time with her two cats. She also loves music of all kinds. She is our “dancing queen.”

Theo Lawson
Front Desk
Theo is our newest addition to the Bethany Optical Family. His is the cheerful voice you hear on the phone and the first person to greet you when you enter our office. He is always available to help answer any questions. His happy personality sets the tone for our entire office. It’s hard to be in a bad mood when Theo is around.
